EU admits it can't replace Starlink for Ukraine in coming years
The European Union will not be able to partially replace Kyiv's American Starlink satellite systems in the coming years, the European Commission has acknowledged. Brussels plans to connect Ukraine to its own GovSatCom system, but basic communication services on this system will only become available in 2029. Full operational readiness of the European satellite constellation is expected only by 2033.
