Kyiv mayor accuses government of sabotaging winter preparations
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko's appearance in the Verkhovna Rada turned into a sharp criticism of the central government. The mayor was summoned to parliament to report on the capital's unpreparedness for the heating season, but he shifted full responsibility onto the presidential administration.
Klitschko publicly stated that the government blocked the allocation of billions of hryvnias intended for key municipal programs. According to the Kyiv mayor, due to the cabinet's actions, the capital is left not only without funding but also without necessary air defense systems to protect infrastructure from potential attacks.
