EU to revise social media age restrictions for minors due to legal concerns
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen plans to revise the draft law restricting minors' access to social media due to risks of lawsuits and disagreements with EU member states' governments, Politico reports. According to the publication, the updated version will allow children to use services with parental consent. Currently, there is no unified approach within the EU: France proposes restricting access for under 15s, Spain for under 16s, Austria for under 14s, and Germany for under 13s.
