First launch of South Korea's 'Shahed'-class drone fails

The first launch of a South Korean Shahed-class drone from a special platform has failed. Both prototypes crashed into the sea seconds after takeoff from the ROKS Marado ship. The failure increases pressure on the program, which had already faced criticism over the prototype's cost — around $580,000, significantly more than a standard Shahed drone.
