First surgery for severe endometriosis using fluorescent visualization performed in Minsk

The first surgery for severe endometriosis using fluorescent visualization has been performed at the Minsk City Clinical Center of Gynecology. The ICG technology helps surgeons more accurately determine the boundaries of affected tissues and the location of adjacent organs. The patient had 7–8 cm of damaged intestinal tissue removed, and intestinal integrity was restored. The surgery was performed by Russian surgeon Alexander Popov together with Minsk colleagues.
