Five Russian women rescued from human trafficking ring in the Philippines

Five Russian women were rescued from a human trafficking ring in the Philippines, the newspaper Cebu Daily News reported, citing the National Bureau of Investigation. During the rescue operation, a man suspected of involvement in organizing the network that exploited victims for commercial sexual exploitation was arrested. According to the newspaper, citing the bureau's statement, the suspect offered to provide women at a reduced price of 25,000 pesos (about 34,000 rubles) each, plus a commission.
