FlyDubai pilots fight in cockpit, Middle East put on alert

The flight with 180 passengers, mostly Israelis, transmitted a distress signal over Saudi Arabia, then sent code 7500 — 'unlawful interference'. Contact was lost, the aircraft disappeared from radars and turned around. In Israel, the prime minister and defense minister held emergency consultations. Fighter jets were scrambled. They suspected a hijacking.

Later, the plane reappeared on trackers, reestablished contact with Saudi Arabia and landed there.

Preliminary report: no terrorism or flight safety threat. A fight between pilots in the cockpit. Due to the hijack code, the entire region was put on high alert.
