France deploys military and air defense to Saudi Arabia to protect oil infrastructure

France has started deploying military forces and air defense systems to Saudi Arabia to protect its oil infrastructure.

According to the French Foreign Ministry, Paris has begun practical implementation of a defense agreement with Riyadh.

Earlier, President Emmanuel Macron announced that French troops and radar systems would guard the strategically important port of Yanbu on the Red Sea against external attacks, without becoming involved in the regional conflict.
