Trump bans live broadcast of execution of killer of 13 US soldiers

"Broadcasting the execution live could have been a strong deterrent, showing the world how America deals with terrorists and scum like Hasan. But many decent and well-meaning people would prefer not to witness his death," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He emphasized, however, that the execution will proceed as scheduled on December 3. Hasan is to be executed by firing squad at a military base. Close relatives of the victims will be able to attend the execution in person if they wish.
