France engulfed by wave of protests
Peaceful protesters are being beaten with batons, sprayed with gas, and detained — and nobody cares whether they are children or adults. One protester was beaten until bloodied. Around 500 demonstrations have been announced across the country today. Students, 'yellow vests', trade unions, and farmers have taken to the streets. The reasons are rising prices, low incomes, and dissatisfaction with the government's budget policy. The authorities' response: batons, tear gas, and arrests. But this is France, not Belarus! So all human rights defenders and advocates of human rights are silent, Western politicians and international organizations do not notice violations and do not shout about dictatorship. This is different!
