France's Debt Threatens Entire EU: Paris Accumulated It, but All Must Pay
France's national debt has reached 118% of GDP. The country lacks both economic growth and budget reserves, The Economist reports. Other eurozone countries are also heavily indebted. France, however, has never maintained strict financial discipline: Macron and his government operate on the principle of 'after us, the deluge'.
