Germany hit by new wave of sabotage attacks on energy infrastructure

Earlier in the day, a short circuit occurred at a substation near Cologne; police called it a 'deliberate crime' due to six pyrotechnic launchers found at the scene. A few hours earlier, in Brandenburg, a homemade explosive device was found at the Jänschwalde coal power plant substation. Police are inspecting other power facilities in the region for potential threats. In Munich, incendiary devices were thrown from a car onto the construction site of defense company Rohde & Schwarz.
