Germany sees rise in right-wing extremists with legal firearms despite strict controls
In Germany, the number of right-wing extremists and radicals legally owning firearms is rapidly increasing, despite strict government measures. This is evidenced by the results of a large-scale investigation and a survey of regional interior ministries conducted by German public broadcaster NDR. Despite legislative restrictions and regular checks, German security agencies are recording a growing number of official firearm permits issued to individuals under surveillance by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution.
