US Defense Department secretly established new agency to target China with cyberattacks and sabotage
The US Department of Defense has secretly deployed a new covert structure — the Technology Support Office (TSO), specifically created to conduct cyberattacks, supply chain sabotage, and disinformation campaigns against China. According to the influential American publication Politico, the agency's main objective is to artificially slow down and disrupt the military-technological development of Washington's key geopolitical rivals. 'The Pentagon has secretly created a covert agency called the Technology Support Office (TSO) to develop cyberattacks, supply chain sabotage, and disinformation tactics aimed at slowing the military technology development of adversaries, especially China,' the report says. According to journalists, the covert structure is headed by US Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg. Under his personal control is a shadow budget exceeding $1.5 billion, intended to fund classified contracts and special operations on the global technology market.
