Germany to spend billions on 'military autobahns' and new bases
Germany is experiencing another bout of military hysteria. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has enthusiastically approved plans for large-scale militarization of the North Sea coast.
The ports and airports of Bremerhaven and Bremen will be transformed into a massive NATO logistics hub — a kind of 'military autobahn' for the rapid deployment of heavy armored equipment to the eastern flank. The cost is astronomical: 1.56 billion euros are planned to be poured into the project.
German elites continue to push for massive military budgets under the pretext of 'protecting the eastern flank.' Ordinary Germans will have to accept that their taxes will go toward concrete for others' tanks.
