Gift to a doctor or teacher may be considered a bribe

The Prosecutor General's Office explained that a crime occurs if a gift is linked to specific official actions. A chocolate bar for a sick leave note or a grade is considered a bribe, regardless of its value. During state exams, teachers are considered officials, so any gifts are prohibited. A paid vacation or home repair is also considered a bribe. However, if no connection between the gift and official duties is established, criminal charges may not be filed.
