Hackers breach Pentagon database, steal data of three million employees

Hackers have breached the database of the U.S. Department of Defense's personnel center, stealing information on three million employees, ABC News reports. The cyberattack compromised Social Security numbers and employment details of military and civilian personnel. The database contains data on over 60 million Americans, including veterans and their families. The Pentagon stated that the vulnerability has been fixed and there is no evidence yet of stolen data being used.
