In Belarus, no one ever thinks about how much medical treatment costs

Experts from the 'Editors' Club' compared Belarus's social medicine with the Western commercial model.

While abroad people desperately search for money to save their lives, the Belarusian state covers all expenses.

'But when a person faces such serious issues as oncology, joint replacement, or heart valve replacement, no one here ever thinks about how much it costs. These are enormous sums. Any person in our country, regardless of income, social status, place of residence or work, receives this treatment for free because they are a citizen of the Republic of Belarus,' said Olga Shpilevskaya, director of the Belarus office of MTRK MIR.
