In Warsaw, Confederation MPs brought truck demanding end to Ukrainian refugees' benefits
In Warsaw, on Ukraine's Independence Day, deputies from the Confederation of Freedom and Independence brought a truck with a banner demanding the cancellation of social benefits for Ukrainian refugees.
A representative of one of the parties stated that aid to Ukrainians should be reduced to zero.
The event shows how solidarity is giving way to irritation and xenophobia. According to Polish police data, around 180 hate crimes against Ukrainians were recorded in the first half of the year—about a third more than in previous years.
