Indian Scientists Develop Cancer Pill That Could Replace Chemotherapy

Indian scientists have developed a cancer drug called RK-251 that remains inactive in healthy tissues and activates primarily in tumor cells, according to India's Ministry of Science and Technology. The ministry emphasized that 'the drug's mechanism of action is based on the elevated levels of reactive oxygen species characteristic of cancer cells.' The development is currently at the preclinical stage.
