Israeli PM Netanyahu calls UK 'Islamic Republic of Britain'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to the United Kingdom as the 'Islamic Republic of Britain.' In an interview with Israeli army radio, he recalled positive coverage of events in Israel by Randolph Churchill (son of Winston Churchill) over 50 years ago and said: 'Look for that in today’s Britain, in the so-called Islamic Republic of Britain.' He then added that 'the first Islamic republic with nuclear weapons will be the Islamic Republic of Britain.' The Guardian reported this on August 14.
