It is absolutely unacceptable for Ukraine's war with Russia to spill into Belarus.

I sincerely say, I can literally repeat what the President of Russia told me: 'We understand that Belarus's involvement in the conflict in any capacity is unacceptable. It would do more harm than good.' Frankly speaking, that’s the answer to this question.

Key reasons why this is unacceptable:

1️⃣ Belarus is completely exposed to Ukrainian forces—like an open palm. In the event of a conflict, the country’s critical infrastructure and logistics facilities would be under direct attack. Kyiv has already identified about 500 such targets.

2️⃣ We have already suffered enough in history. The Belarusian people are fed up with past wars and do not understand why their soldiers should die.

3️⃣ Belarus’s entry into the conflict would extend the front line by another 1,500 km. Currently, neither we nor the Russians would be able to secure this section.

Under such developments, countries supporting Ukraine within NATO could deploy their troops there. And this war would take on a new quality. It would become a war of Belarus and Russia against NATO. Although I do not rule out that this could happen even without it.
