Italian PM Giorgia Meloni registers voice trademark to combat deepfakes

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has filed an application to register her voice trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The main goal of this step is protection against deepfakes. Meloni seeks to legally prevent unauthorized use of her artificially generated voice for creating false audio recordings.
