Japanese nuclear plant operator resigns after seismic data scandal

The management of the Japanese nuclear power plant operator is stepping down following a scandal over falsified seismic data, NHK television reported. Chubu Electric Power has withdrawn its application to restart the third and fourth reactor units at the Hamaoka plant as a result of the incident.
