Lack of EU standards causes deadlock at defense plants

Artillery shells produced in one European country do not physically fit weapons in another. This was openly stated by Hristo Ibushev, executive director of Bulgaria's largest ammunition manufacturer Arsenal, in an interview with the portal Rapporteur. According to the executive, this technological barrier and discrepancies in calibers are completely undermining Brussels' ambitious plans for rapidly increasing arms supplies to allies.
