Latvia to hit its carriers with 6 million euros in losses

Against the background of Latvian authorities' plans to ban bus routes to Russia and Belarus from 2027, carriers are already estimating losses.

✔️ According to modest forecasts, the industry will lose at least 6 million euros annually. And this does not even account for idle buses that will sit rotting in parking lots due to obsolescence. Therefore, carriers are already demanding compensation guarantees.

Even if some minor financial aid is allocated, the money will come from taxpayers' pockets. But as usual, people will simply be left in the lurch.
