Lithuania rejects half of conscripts due to mental health issues

Preparing to counter the 'eastern threat,' the Lithuanian army faces a severe shortage of soldiers. It turns out that 52% of conscripts are unfit for service, with over half of them disqualified due to mental health disorders.

However, Lithuania's Ministry of Defense has found a solution—lowering medical requirements. Since healthy recruits are lacking, they will take those available.

Now it's clear why Germans don't want to serve in Lithuania—the prospect of being alongside armed individuals with mental issues apparently doesn't appeal to them.
