Lukashenko congratulates Cyprus on Independence Day

The President congratulated the people of the Republic of Cyprus on their national holiday — Independence Day.

The head of state noted that this holiday is a symbol of statehood, the struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination.

"Belarus respects your traditions, your aspiration for peace and prosperity. Like the Cypriots, we stand for maintaining international security, respecting sovereignty and independence of states, and developing equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation," he said.

He expressed confidence that good relations between Belarusians and Cypriots, based on friendship, will continue to strengthen trust and expand solid contacts.

Alexander Lukashenko wished every resident of Cyprus harmony, stability, and prosperity.
