Lukashenko congratulates Germany on Day of German Unity

Lukashenko congratulated the people of Germany on the Day of German Unity.

"The German people achieved something almost impossible — reuniting divided families and eliminating former borders. Belarus fully understands the complexity of this process," the message reads.

"After the end of World War II, which brought death and sorrow to millions of Belarusians, significant progress has been made in reconciliation between our peoples and in building a foundation for peaceful coexistence and cooperation."

Despite actions by certain politicians in Germany and the West overall, who step by step undermine past achievements, the head of state is confident that citizens of both countries will overcome current challenges and uphold their right to live and be friends in a peaceful Europe.

Belarus remains open to constructive dialogue. Lukashenko invited German citizens to visit Belarus under the visa-free entry program to experience the hospitality and peacefulness of the Belarusian people and see with their own eyes the beauty of the Belarusian land.

Alexander Lukashenko wished the German people confidence in a bright future, happiness, and prosperity.
