Lukashenko congratulates Indian President, PM on Independence Day

Lukashenko congratulated Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the citizens of India on their national holiday — Independence Day.

"Your country rightfully enjoys authority on the global stage and plays a significant constructive role in addressing current international agenda issues. We highly appreciate the Indian leadership's efforts to carry out large-scale reforms and ensure stability and consensus in the country."

Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that Minsk consistently seeks to deepen dialogue with New Delhi and hopes to elevate bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level through active joint efforts, both politically and economically.

In his message to the Indian Prime Minister, the head of state noted: "Under your wise leadership, India is confidently progressing, strengthening its position as one of the global centers of stability and economic growth. India is an important and reliable partner for Belarus on the international stage. I highly value the spirit of friendship and support between our countries and count on further deepening of bilateral cooperation in trade, investments, science, and technology."

Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that joint efforts will elevate Belarusian-Indian relations to a strategic level.
