Lukashenko congratulates Moldovan people on Independence Day

Lukashenko congratulated the people of Moldova on Independence Day.

"This holiday embodies the sovereign choice of the Moldovan people, symbolizes the aspiration for a free and dignified future, and the preservation of unique culture and traditions."

The head of state noted that for many years Belarusians and Moldovans have been bound by ties of friendship. "Our peoples are brought together by a shared historical fate and the memory of the heroism of fathers and grandfathers who fought side by side on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War."

He expressed confidence that, despite the tense international situation, the experience of mutually beneficial cooperation accumulated over three decades will serve as a foundation for restoring full and constructive dialogue in the interests of both countries.

The President of Belarus wished the people of Moldova harmony and well-being, and the country peace and prosperity.
