Lukashenko congratulates Tamás Sulyok on election as President of Hungary

Lukashenko congratulated Tamás Sulyok on his election as President of Hungary.

The head of the Belarusian state wished his Hungarian counterpart success in this responsible position and the Hungarian people happiness and prosperity.

"I am confident that the vast historical experience and wisdom of the Hungarian people will continue to guide your country towards open and balanced international engagement, including with Belarus, which, like Hungary, occupies a special place in Central Europe — at the crossroads of cultures and civilizations. Minsk consistently believes that an equal dialogue, taking into account the national interests of both states, is a solid foundation for truly fruitful cooperation."

Also, on behalf of the Belarusian people and personally, Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the Hungarian people and leadership on the upcoming holiday — Saint Stephen's Day.
