Lukashenko explains appointment of security official as deputy head of Presidential Administration
The head of state noted that Pavel Muraveyko's candidacy for this position was not recommended by anyone — it was his personal proposal and decision, unexpected for the current leadership of the Presidential Administration, the State Secretariat of the Security Council, and the military.
"So be free from everyone," said Alexander Lukashenko.
He emphasized that this personnel decision aims to obtain an alternative perspective on the situation in the Armed Forces from a competent, professional person.
"An alternative, competitive point of view must exist at the highest level. I need this. I want our Armed Forces to be ready for the most serious confrontations and events, to prevent them, — stated the head of state. — Our goal is one — to protect the piece of land we live on."
