Lukashenko: 'Give me the economy, and I’ll handle the rest'

"Look at what is happening around. In terms of religious and national hostility, it's terrifying to think about. We are calm. Not because of me — you have all made it possible for people to live in peace on this patch of land, surrounded by flames. And we will continue living in peace if we do not seize what belongs to others and pocket it, if we work hard and strengthen our country. The main thing is the economy. That’s why I always tell you: give me just one thing — the economy, and everything else — I’ll take care of it."
