An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 struck Bogota, the capital of Colombia. Significant destruction has been reported. Earlier, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) estimated the tremors at 6.8. Later, European seismologists upgraded the magnitude to 7.4. U.S. experts have confirmed the same assessment.
