Man with fake document detained at Minsk airport

On the evening of October 7, at the National Airport Minsk, a foreigner was detained while boarding a flight to Yerevan for attempting to violate the state border. He presented a Russian internal passport that aroused suspicion among Belarusian border guards. After a special check, it was found that the document was partially fake — the owner's photo had been replaced. The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention center run by the Minsk City Executive Committee's Department of Internal Affairs pending identification. Further investigation is underway.
