Most Germans want Friedrich Merz to resign as leader of the CDU following the party's poor performance in recent elections in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, according to a Forsa poll for RTL and NTV. Earlier, the same agency found that only 10% of Germans approve of the chancellor's work.
