Munich scientists say EU climate policy on electric cars is flawed

Scientists from the Technical University of Munich have called the EU's climate policy on electric vehicles misleading, noting that EVs reduce CO₂ emissions by only 41%, not achieving "climate neutrality," according to Bild. Researchers recommend assessing emissions over the vehicle's entire life cycle, from raw material extraction to disposal. Current EU documents account only for tailpipe emissions.
