New York court overturns US suspension of immigrant visas
A court in New York has overturned the suspension of US immigrant visa issuance. The restrictions applied to citizens of Moldova and 74 other countries, including Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as several countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Balkans. The court deemed the decision by Donald Trump's administration 'clearly unlawful' and canceled denials based solely on citizenship from one of the 75 countries, according to Reuters. Visa applications must now be reviewed individually, although this does not guarantee automatic visa issuance.
