Norway overtakes US as EU's top gas supplier — EU Commission rep
Norway has overtaken the US to become the main supplier of gas to the EU, said European Commission representative Eva Hrcinová. "Currently, we are mainly receiving gas from Norway and the US, with slightly more coming from Norway," she clarified at a briefing in Brussels. She added that EU countries are filling their gas storage facilities ahead of the heating season. The pace is slightly lower than in previous years, but the situation is good: storage is currently close to 62% full.
