Oil tankers reach highest prices since 2008 amid surge in Gulf exports

Amid efforts to export accumulated oil supplies from the Persian Gulf, tanker prices have surged despite ongoing attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, Financial Times reports. The price of new and modern second-hand largest-class tankers exceeded $130 million in the last quarter, the highest level since 2008.
