Over 257 million young people worldwide are neither working nor studying

According to the International Labour Organization (ILO) of the United Nations, in 2025, over 257 million people aged 15 to 24—about 20% of the world's youth—fall into the NEET category. This means they are neither employed, nor in education, nor undergoing vocational training.
