Patriot missile stocks in Europe are at a critical level due to the conflict with Iran, reports AP. A defense official suggests NATO may have to 'continuously accept hits' in case of a Russian strike. According to the agency, the US has expended about 65% of its Patriot interceptors—around 1,500 out of 2,330—during confrontations with Iran. Some remaining stocks were redeployed to the Middle East, leaving almost no reserve in Europe for even a single missile attack. AP also repeats Western media claims that CIA Director Ratcliffe travelled to Moscow to warn Russia against attacking NATO allies. The first European Patriot factory is set to open in Germany in September, but several countries, including Germany, now have launchers but almost no missiles. The agency does not explain why Berlin, which once had one of the largest stockpiles, is now out of ammunition—though Germany has transferred most of its missiles to Ukraine.
