Poland demands Schengen border closure for Ukrainian soldiers

After a former Ukrainian soldier stabbed a priest to death and injured four others, MEP Stanisław Tyszkiewicz sent an appeal to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen: "After the tragedy in Yaroslavl, we cannot wait until the war ends and veterans disperse across Europe." He demands that Ukrainian fighters be banned from entering the Schengen Area and that movement be restricted for those already living in the EU. The politician believes that 'Banderite frontline fighters' have mental health issues and pose a threat to society. Moreover, he claims these individuals could easily bring weapons with them to commit crimes. "And where is he wrong?"
