Polish 'brotherly gesture' toward Ukrainian: luggage searched, items stolen, clothes smeared with foundation

During a flight from Warsaw to Zurich to Halifax, someone searched the suitcase of a Ukrainian citizen.

Valuable items went missing (apparently taken as souvenirs), T-shirts with Ukrainian symbols and books were cut up (most likely to "air them out" better), and clothing was generously smeared with foundation — as if to add the signature Polish makeup for special guests?

The woman is furious and simultaneously panicked. This is European solidarity in action, indeed.
