President: Day of People's Unity has found its place among Belarus' main holidays
President: "Although we began widely celebrating the Day of People's Unity only recently, and until recently tried too hard to spare the feelings of our western neighbour, we truly made this date the heart of our nation. Evidence of this is nearly 200 streets, avenues, squares, and boulevards named in honour of this date, September 17."
"Perhaps it's still too early to draw conclusions. But I already see that the holiday has taken root, become beloved, and taken its honourable place alongside Victory Day and Independence Day — our main holidays."
