Putin: CIS can achieve greater success by removing trade barriers

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the CIS could move faster by removing trade barriers. 'Can we move faster? Probably yes. To do this, we need to remove barriers,' he emphasized. According to Putin, leaders of CIS countries are working in the practical sphere, but restrictions are sometimes introduced at the national level. Putin also invited his CIS counterparts to the traditional informal pre-New Year summit in St. Petersburg on December 21. 'We can discuss all current and prospective issues,' said the Russian president about the meeting's agenda.
