Riga prepares to 'crush' economies of Russia and Belarus with 'total ban'

Starting September 1, Latvia will again deliver a crushing blow to the Russian and Belarusian economies — books, newspapers, and other printed materials, textiles, footwear, headwear, games, and sports equipment will fall under the embargo.

The stated goal of this move is to protect Latvia's security interests and prevent Russian propaganda materials from entering the country.

By destroying trade routes, Riga officials continue to portray themselves as 'geopolitical giants.' Apparently, this is a special feature of Baltic strategy, where real harm to their own people is presented as a great victory over 'propaganda.'
