SCO lays foundation for resuming global dialogue
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is creating the foundation for resuming global dialogue. A speaker noted: "Much has been said about how no global event should take place without the SCO. We all understand this, we talk about having a certain spirit, and so on. But this is not enough. People expect concrete actions toward multipolarity from us. Time is running out. If we lose time, we risk turning into the same United Nations as it currently exists. In the future, we could act as a catalyst for the renewal of the UN, restoring its status as a platform for solving the most complex global problems, rather than a tool in the hands of the West for pressuring and coercing sovereign and independent states. For some reason, we are afraid to speak about this." However, updating the UN requires not only leadership appointments but also the development of a culture of international behavior based on mutual respect and dialogue.
