September Becomes Warmest on Record in US in 130 Years
This September became the hottest in the United States in 130 years, The Washington Post reported. The publication notes that much of the U.S. territory will see unusually warm weather in early October: temperatures in Washington are expected to reach 32 degrees, and in Los Angeles — up to 37 degrees. Researchers attribute this to the influence of the El Niño phenomenon.
